Just as a visit to Hillbrook Inn & Spa is enhanced with a relaxing massage and a meal at the renowned Redbook Restaurant, a trip to historic Charles Town, West Virginia, would not be complete without seeing a performance at The Old Opera House Theatre Company. Opened in 1911, the Old Opera House has been a cultural arts center in the Charles Town community for the last century.
This holiday season, catch a showing of A Christmas Story, The Musical between Thursday, December 4, and Sunday, December 14. Based on the 1983 motion picture A Christmas Story and on the book In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash, this musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire. All the iconic scenes from the movie are presented, bringing an exciting new dimension to this classic rendition of an iconic tale.
The Old Opera House Dance Studio is also presenting The Nutcracker from Friday, December 19, through Sunday, December 21. Ticket prices for both shows range from $15-$19 per person.
